: Got a late model head back from machine shop
: friday, with the bad news of a crack in the
: #5 exh. seat. Looks like only two options
: open at this time.....different core, or
: machine out for "insert", and hope
: the crack disappears. I have concerns about
: an "extra" piece of metal inside
: the combustion chamber, that might come
: loose, and perhaps hold that valve open for
: a face-to-face with the piston.
: Anybody have any advice, pro's/con's, horror
: stories about the procedure? At this time,
: I'm leaning toward starting over with a
: different core. My prob is that slant stuff
: is getting rather scarce in my neck of the
: woods.

: about. Any good machine shop can install
: them.
