Yes. Any engine that doesn't leak or burn oil should use synthetic. I've used Mobil 1 in my turbo Duster since I bought it new. I change oil and filter every 5000 miles. At 100,000 miles I pulled the head, and could still see the honing marks in the cylinders. I'm a believer, and even use it in my lawn mower. The engine is much cleaner than engines I've seen using conventional oils. The inside of the valve cover and the valve train aren't coated with blank gunk. Other synthetics may be just as good. I've never seen any comparison other than some propaganda from some of the companies. dwordinger@earthlink.net |
