Hey Guys, Turns out the front w/cylinders on my 66 val are going to set me back $25 each unless I can rebuild 'em. $50 is too much to spend until I know if I am keeping this thing. I got too much $ in it already!!!! So I got one front bleeder out using the torch and wax method. The second one broke off. What to do now?? I have never had much luck drilling them out. Seems like the tips are hardened and I can't drill all the way through them. Do any of you you have a magic trick for this?? Thank you!!! Chris E. |

In a pinch you can bleed the wheel cylinder by breaking loose the line at the wheel cylinder as someone pushes the brake pedal. |

Also use the feeler gauge method from my high school shop teacher. With the drum removed pull the dust boot back and slide a thin feelers gauge at the top of the cylinder, past the cup to bleed the air out. this takes two people so have a helper. Crude method but can save ya a few bucks and some down time. |
