Is there really that big of a difference in a carbed turbo set up vs an efi turbo set up? I know both have their own list of to do's but what about performance wise, (head to head)?

How wild a turbo setup? You can make a lot of power either way, but it's generally accepted that with higher outputs the EFI engine will be nicer to drive and get better fuel economy. It's a bit difficult to get good low speed manners out of a wild carbureted turbo engine and not have it melt down under full boost.
