hey all, im looking at buying another slant for a daily driver, the sable is trying hard to give up the ghost, the car in question is a 1980 and has all the emissions stuff, would i get better mpg with all the emissions stuff left intact or removed? the hei upgrade would benefit mpg too right? i have an extra new accel ss coil and a used working msd blaster 2 both sitting around, and i think i have an extra hei module somewhere, so that would be low/no cost, thanks

See here for an overview of some of the emissions equipment on your car. It doesn't go into detail on some of the equipment and calibration that makes the later-model cars like yours sluggish and thirsty, but it's a starting point. First and most important question: Where do you live?
