You mentioned this is an ultra-low-miles inherited car. That means it's been sitting...a lot! Extended sitting is very bad for hydraulic brake systems. They develop corrosion in the calipers and cylinders, and become very "grabby". The entire brake system on your car needs to be gone through and refurbished/rebuilt. This is a life safety issue; you need to do it (or have it done) now. If you do not, sooner than later the brakes will either not work at all when you need them, or stay firmly applied when you take your foot off the brake. Both situations are dangerous. There will also be other fluid leaks and related issues caused by extended sitting, but none of them is so crucial to safety as this one. I recommend your first purchases be the three books described in this post. |
