Hey guys, well, today I was checking to make sure i set my points right with the distributor out. So, I went ahead and checked it out to make sure it wasn't going to give me a surprise in the next few months. The gear looked fine (not much wear), o-rings good, sucked on the vacuum advance pod and got air!!! From my research in the forum--thats not good. So, my question is can I replace it without replacing the distributor or Do I have to replace the whole thing? Thanks for your guys' help. -Angelo |

Yep, you can easily replace the vacuum advance unit. Standard/BlueStreak VC-173 or NAPA Echlin VC-3011. (Have you considered installing electronic ignition?) |
