| Post subject: | Tenth Annivarsary Slant6 Racing Issue in Color now available |
Seymour has been working on this commemerative issue for several years now and it finally is off the press and available. Doug has some of the photos available to look at over the web site. This is the only FULL COLOR edition using special high quality paper...There are 150.....yes, 150 color photos depicting slant6 racing from 1997-2007. Team photos....family photos...photo after photo of slant racing from the past up through this year. Huge section on A-Bodies..Up and coming rookies....projects in the works..I could go on and on...This is one fine labor of love which will not be duplicated. The cost to Seymour excluding his time had to be very expensive. The only way to get your copy is to contact Seymour who request that a check for $15.00 accompany your order. This will just "break even" the color and printing cost and pay for the shipping which is quite high due to the added weight of the issue. Contact: Seymour Peterson, 2513 Princeton Ct. St Louis Park, MN 55416. Phone: (952) 929-0508 |

I sent him a card and cash the other day for a couple. I started feeling a little nostalgic about the whole Slant 6 Racing thing and started going through my old issues. A while back I had contacted Seymour for a couple back issues so I could put together a spreadsheet with all the points winners over the years and he was nice enough to send me a copy of all the issues I needed to complete a full set. I had let several of mine go by sharing them with my church youth group and not getting them back... Anyway, the last sentence of his opening paragraph in SSRN Issue #1 from August 1997 says, "Most of all I really long to get involved in this scene in some meaningful way." I would definitely say that Seymour has accomplished that! |

I recieved mine......man, what a great newsletter!! I wish I had gotten involved sooner, it looks like it was a great tome in the begginning also. I know that Jessica, and I both have a great time at the races......and I know next year will be a whole new direction w/ building a dedicated drag car. Andrew |
