Has anyone gone through the trouble of doing a nice set of CAD'd motor plates for the /6? I'd like to have a motor and mid plate on my open wheel car. I'd also like to talk to some of the guys using a dry sump system. Thanks! |

I have a front plate, but it was not CAD. IIRC, the Cox Brothers did a dry sump on their car. |

Pics of Dave Mueller's car looks like it has a dry sump tank on it. Quite a few of the racer's are running wet sump pans with external belt drive pumps to bypass the pump gear failure problem. |

I'm building a mid-engined open wheel car for dragging. I just want the lower CG. I'm also having a billet tailshaft made along with a custom main shaft for 904's to make it a (very) shorty transmission. |

Just a thought. I know the 727 is more power hungy, and heavier then the 904. At one time the were "shorty" kits for the 727. If they are still available, it might be less expensive then custom one of parts.

The factory made shorty 727's. I was close to getting a couple of them and just decided to do something different. |

I seem to remember seeing a pic of the Drake's unfinished Rampage with front and mid plates attached to the tube chassis. I wonder how those were made? Roger |

They used to have quite a few pictures of their car on their web site, but not anymore. |

I was told the race car stuff was buried in the site somewhere, but I have not been able to find it either. |

O.K., does this site show an engineering drawing that shows the proper placement of the hole patterns o the front of the block? I do want to CAD this, and get the motor sitting just right. |

Hey- I'm new to this forum and this front motor plate talk caught my attention. I'm putting a 225 in my old '49 and I think this is the solution. Has anyone here gotten one? Bill did you check those out as posted by Sergio? Tim |
