SO. I posted earlier about having an ignition problem. Basically, the ignition switch, when turned on, doesn't go through and the car has no spark because of it. So I've looked around, messed with the wires, even gone as far as trying to disassemble the steering column to get to the wiring inside it. Anyway, to the question. FIRST, does anyone know which wire goes to what on the wiring harnesses under the dash for my car? I have a repair manual but it's one of those basic ones that covers 10 years worth of models. Also, how likely is it that just the ignition switch itself (Where you put the key in in case my vocabulary is poor) is the problem? I looked online and can get one for like $20. Thanks in advance for the help. |

Those aftermarket books are useless. You really need to have a real factory service manual to tackle jobs like this. See this post. At the very least you need the wiring diagram for your '70, which you can download free of charge here. |
