I think that would hurt mixture distribution. BTW, did anyone catch the Hot Rod Magazine article on Mopar 383 intake manifolds in the December '07 issue? The two Offy manifolds they tested (a dual-port and a dual-quad) were the worst for torque and horsepower of the dual planes. Some of the single plane manifolds tested bettered them at 3000 RPM. Has Offy even produced a new manifold design in the last two or three decades? What surprised me about the test is how little a top end gain the single plane manifolds showed over the dual planes on this 450hp 383. Cam was a solid lifter 239/247° @ .050" lift and .573/.597 lift with 1.6:1 rockers. |

Hey Josh, Mopar muscle ran a test on the max wedge manifold setup and also came to a conclusion that 40 od years of development made modern dual plane single carb's very competitive |

The dual quad intake is a single plane. So is the Dual Port. It is two seperate intakes. It has individual runners for the primaries and secondaries. Why they tested the Dual Port is beyond me! Way too much cam for that intake. It is a low to mid range intake. I have one on my van. I usually never rev past 4500. My cam is done @ 4800 and it's a 5800lb truck. It will lift the front when you kick it down into second at 60mph. |

I would think that this piece is for v8 engines, not for slant six wich already has some ram effect "built-in" |

There's no ram flow with a tube that big........... (it just a big open chamber that offsets the carb) |

that piece, a quick change jet metering block, wideband sensor and no winshield and you're able to tailor your fuel curve while driving |

Or give it a 90 degree turn to the front, leave your bonnet og and have REAL fresh air induction

I remember seeing engines with 2x4 induction with 2 of those in opposite directions. |
