How do you seperate a slant 6 from a torqueflite tranny. I alsowonder what or where attach the moter lift. Any other tips on pulling it out are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Byron scspence71@aol.com |

: bellhouse and converter bolts and any other : obvious brackets..... make sure to mark one of the ears on the flex plate and torque converter with a greasepencil/light colored spray paint before removing the 4 bolts holding the flex plate to the torque converter. This is just a good habit to get into in case you do some other engine swaps other than slant six, this way you put the assembly back together just like it was before (if rebuilding/replacing the tranny not the torque converter). This is essential in 'externally' balanced engines like the 360 and some late cast crank 400/440, but not your 225. : : should be 2 tapped holes just to right of valve : cover that make great place to bolt chain : to. If your 225 is out of a late model car (post 73), the electric choke is bolted into the rear one, and the vacuum tree is usually bolted into the front one... pretty easy pull, -D.Idiot res0aus2@verizon.net |
