I have an 87 b150 w/manual trans.

I would like to put a two barrel carb and intake that I got from a 78 aspen (I think thats what it was) on my slant.

The van has a rod linkage for the gas pedal and the two barrel is set up for a cable.

First which way should I go. Stay with the rod linkage and find parts to make it work or go with the cable setup and find parts to make it work.

Second where can I find these parts to make either of them work.

It's my first slant so take it easy on me.

I used the cable and pedal from my '79 Aspen donor car on my '64 Valiant. I think a cable is much simpler to adapt.

Since you have a van, I would stay with a cable. I am not sure if the one off the Volare will be long enough.

Look on Summit Racing.com site under Lokar cables. You can find them in many lengths. You might need a fairly long one to loop it back.

You might find a better 'donor' by looking at other Dodge Vans and Trucks at the wrecking yard to find a donor cable, if not you can always 'engineer' something from a much longer cable like out of a 'k' Car...

Duster is right.I've got a 83 150 that has a 4brl setup and I fought all kinds of different rod links. Finally pulled the complete cable and gas pedal out of a 90 150 with tbi 318.A little bracket modifing and cable addapting and ta da,works fine.Plus its standard replacement stuff.Good luck 8)
