Howdy all, Just got my "new" '69 A108 home the other day and I would like to find out what motor it is. Here are the numbers on the side of the block - 2808803-1 I can't remember where on the net the site was that told you how to decifer this. The one problem with the net - way too much stuff!! For some reason I think it's a 170 built in '68? Thanks for any help, Dan "I may be slow, but at least I'm not very fast!" gramma@dm-tech.net |

Does the block have 3 or 5 freeze plugs in the side? My 66 170 with 3 freeze plugs is casting number 2463230 If you use the search function and type-in '170 blocks numbers' and serch for "all" lot's will come-up. DD |

Hey Doc, I went out and was able to clean the ID plate on the wheel well and found out it is a 225 with an A745 tranny. Thanks for the help, Talk at ya later, Dan "I may be slow, but at least I'm not very fast!" gramma@dm-tech.net |
