Is it more important to have the kickdown adjusted so it's fully forward when the throttle blades are closed or fully to the rear when the carb is at WOT? I ask because there doesn't seem to be enough travel at the stud on the carb to have it both ways. I have it adjusted fully to the front and the car seems to be performing well, but I'd like to know the "right way" so I know I'm not doing any damage.

Thanks,

Nat

The correct adjustment has the trans lever all the way forward when the throttle is at the correctly-adjusted curb idle position. You can move it slightly from there to adjust it to your personal preferences.
