Has become more frequent over time. What could this be? |

I also have a noisy clunk in my right side suspension. When I went to investigate I found that the front tab that makes the pivot/ hinge for the upper control arm was broken- cracked and completely free! I was also putting in torsion bars at the same time to replace mismatched ones (340 left, 225 rt) from a previous half-assed repair. The strut rod bushings looked good, so I left them alone till later. After welding the tab back on and replacing my torsion bars with 1" jobbies the ride is much firmer and more even but the noise is still present (not as often though), leading me to believe that it is a ball joint or worn bushing issue. The bushing issue I think would be dangerous to my alignment/ tire wear, at least until It really starts beating itself up. The ball joint issue is scarier- I don't wanna lose a spindle on the highway! So pull your wheels, let the tension off your torsion bars, and figure it out before you get messed up! I already ordered my ball joints! Good luck rdr |

I found the problem, the idler arm seems to be loose, If I move the wheel around the whole right side of the steering moves and the idler arm hits the frame. |
