Post subject: | Ignition Switch Parts? |
My Duster needs a new ignition switch (intermittent connection). When I am looking for parts for it, I see the cylinder part with a key and another with an arm and a bunch of wires. Do I need both? I guess the cylinder part operates the thing with the arm and the wires? Airtex and Standard Motor Parts are the brands. One better than the other? Thanks in Advance! bwhitejr |

just the electrical part. that is unless youre having problems with the key jamming, etc. If you did replace the lock, then you'd still need to keep the orig key so you could unlock the doors. Ive always ahd good luck with Standard. I didnt know that Airtex made anything other than fuel pumps. Honestly it probably wouldnt matter which on you got as they were probably made by the same co., and "reboxed" you wouldnt believe how many products are that way... one co. makes the part for everybody, others buy what they need and put it in "their" box. |
