I've been reading posts and I keep coming up with more questions. Sorry if It’s s dumb one -

I have a 1964 or 5 Dodge Truck with a 225 slant six. I have a broken exhaust manifold but there is much more noise. Is the rest of the racket I hear the valves? Can I fix that? Can someone point me to the specs. If it’s adjustable valves I can perform the operation - I think

Danny

Although I don't think you'd hear them over a leaky exhaust manifold

Thanks Ed!

The valves clatter when it’s idling and the manifold isn’t up to it’s potential. While driving it’s hard to hear anything but wind. In high gear the darn thing will go about 60. Above 60 you can hear the engine real good but I’m not sure if it’s rattlin’, knockin’ moovin or screamin’. The tailgate chains make a little noise too.
