I busted my metal tranny cooler lines when I pulled my radiator. I'm thinking about replacing them with some push-lok rubber racing hose. I also may use this for fuel line replacement. It is advertised to withstand 300 degrees and 250 psi. Is this a wise application?

Push one hose works fine. I like that it makes for really clean ends. It has to be the right material, they make it for all different purposes. Just be sure the hose you get is right for fuel or oil. Some of it is for air hoses.

It is not that easy to push onto the fittings without the tool, which is very expensive. It can be done with the fitting in a vise, but it nearly peels the skin off of your hands and fingers getting it on. Try to hold it with both hands and put your body weight into it, no kidding!

I would check the price for hoses made at a Mr hose or Hose man, or whatever is in your area. It may surprise you how inexpensive custom hoses can be.

I have been using parker pushlock for a year now - and they remain pliable and they are easy to route just expensive, but well worth it
