Just recieved my 225 engine kit and I was sent a victor gasket set instead of felpro, they were out of stock. Is one better than the other? Does anyone know if the crush on the head gasket is about the same as felpro. .020? thanks 225r/t |

Me, I would use either, but I'd prefer a Victor-Reinz set over a Fel-Pro. Some people feel the opposite way. Both are major brands, not no-name junk. |

I'm pretty sure the Felpro is more like .036-.039, I suspect the Victor is also.

Felpro is 0.033-0.038" compressed. You won't find composite gaskets thinner than that. Lou |

i found the victor gasket stuck to both surfaces better, that could be good for sealing |
