Post subject:  Disc brake conversion guidance

Hi, I'm new to the board. I just got my very first project car, 1960 dodge dart seneca 2dr /6 3sd mt . I want to put disc in the front, just wondering if any one had some tips on goin about it.

Welcome to the board, neighbor! Most of the disk conversions discussed here have been on the A-body cars and yours is a B-body. I believe that the parts from a B-body car ( Charger, Coronet, Belvedere, Satelite, Road Runner, etc.) with front disks will interchange on your car but I wouldn't take that to the bank until confirmed or clarified by someone with more specific knowledge.

I know the '62 to '72 era stuff, anything before that is an unknown to me. There is a place called AJ Brakes that does early Mopar stuff, search for them on the web. I've also been told that the later model knuckles will swap over to the earlier cars but I don't know if that is really true or not. The guy who told me that had lots of other dubious info as well.

Welcome on the board! Take a look at this thread and follow the links provided. The 13th post in that thread has a link to the Scarebird disc brake conversion available for '57-'61 cars like yours.
