Post subject:  fuse box for 74 dart

I need to replace the fuse box on my dart....it's not that it doesn't work right now but a water leak before I got car messed it up.....given the way it looks it amazes me that I haven't had problems with it.......I have a fuse box out of a plymouth sundance and I know you can buy auxillary boxes with up to 8 circuits at auto parts stores.....has anyone out there done replaced their fuse box and are there issues you might want to advise me about such as what would be the best replacement.............vic

I replaced the glass fuse block on my '76 Duster with 2 of the blade type fuse blocks from Painless. You can also get them from Vatozone or Pep Boys. I made a sheet metal bracket, and took a couple hours to rewire the blocks, but it ended all my fuse troubles.

Waytek and others sell very nice aftermarket fuse blocks. That said, the factory used similar blocks for many years and many models and it shouldn't be too hard to find a near-exact stock replacement.

Which ever you use, pay very close attention to the quality of all the connection.
