http://www.yearone.com/pco/A_0307/full.asp?page=227 yearone.com has a Conversion kit for a floor shifter. Anyone use a kit like this? I can not seem to find the parts for the tension collar and i want to get my car working again |

Ezekiel, I will give the floor shifter I took out of my D100 when I put in my 4speed. It was a Pep Boys and worked fine for me for 10 years or more (less than 3,000 country miles, not town shifting) if you will pay the postage, probably $5 to $10. Shifters are about all alike works-wise and before you drop $90 on Hurst you can see what will be involved. I still have a complete 3 speed column shifter apparatus too, including the main rod, hollow tube, shift levers and rods, shift lever rod and shift lever, and so on. I liked my floor shift a lot after I wore out my column shift. Pretty easy to put in if you are mechanical, uses tabs like the original. Nuttin wrong with Hurst though, I used them for 4 speed and automatic and use a Promatic now.. rock '64d100 rock |
