BV gets new windsheild Tuesday and should be legal to race, with aftermarket puke bottle and all...Need to get a benchmark for the BBD, before swapping out to a Holley 350 for the races (and change timing curve)... Hpak Duster has a suspension kit on the way to replace her 30 year old rubber waddler's... so that, a brake job, and a new set of tires, it should be game to go... I also have been given the green light to race under our old Demo Derby team of 'Precision Motorsports'... I guess we'll need new shirts as the 'Passion for Crashin' may make the guys in the pits and the guy in the other lane a bit nervous. I have a buddy that will be taking either BV or the Hpak duster down and racing, he is one of those 'outside the box' thinking mechanics, so he might have some good input for guys thinking about ford or chevy part/conversion pieces... -D.Idiot |

I'll try and make it. Finally got the right size pinion nut for the 3.23s so I'll see about getting the gears installed tomorrow. I have a Holley 350 and 2 1/4" exhaust too. The car should break into the 18s easily this year. :-p 17s would be great. I also have some oversize valves, springs, retainers, lifters, etc, but no money for machining. If I had about $500 more to spend I think I could get into the 15s. This assumes the clutch holds up, but I doubt it would. Clutch would be another $300. |

Not as yet. I don't know if he'll have it ready for the '08 season. His Daily driver lunched a transmission, so his priorities shifted accordingly. He's going to have to go through the transmission, suspension, and brakes to get the Dart roadworthy. I'll have lot's of bits and pieces for him when the time comes! If I score an 8-1/4 in a couple weeks, I'll have a Ford 8" for further Foparisms. We have a new word! Foparism. CJ |

Wayne the '63 is going to wait a while, I got the ok to take the Fopar to Vegas (at least this year, they don't want to get a bunch of non-Mopars). So am going to put the motor in the Fopar. It would cost me aprox $1000 to get the Dart ready. |

Hi Andrew, Paul , CJ. Tristan , Doug, Fopar and all those Oregon/Washington Killer Bee team members. It is really rewarding to see all the activity over the cold winter months with your slant6 projects. There will be more cars racing in 2008 than last year and that is fantastic. New people getting involved, new cars being built..racers wanting to go just a little faster for 2008 than 2007..the 'gals' getting more involved wtih several Killer Queen Bees getting behind the wheel for 2008. Doug's early Lancer will have some competition this year as several early 62's are currently being built along with a couple of 170 and another 198 project being considered. The West Coast Killer Bees will be well represented in 2008. Now we need to get the East Coast contingent to add in numbers and then we will have one good 2008 racing season. Please remember the Samoa Raceway (Eureka, Calif) race that is added to our schedule for July 12-13. Andrew and Jessica are the ones to thank for making this race a reality. We need to show up at this race as lots of work has been made on our behalf. Please mark this date on your calendars. The Bees are starting to "awake".... |
