Well since i decided i was going to get a new timming chain i need some very expert opion adivice before i set out to go and try and get one again the engine that came out of my duster i am rebuilding is not the one for the car and well when i tried to get the set well they where selling them buy chain and all seperate and well they said steel gears and well i need to know also if they come only that way in aftermarket or so on and well we are not sure of my engine code of that motor it has a super six package setup on the motor when we got it and i cant take the rods out now because of the new piston rings but was the super six only offered on the 225 slant six.

All SL6 timing chain sets are the same, all the aftermarker sets have all metal gears.
If you pay more the $30 - 35.00 for the set, you are paying too much.
I have purchased these sets for as little as $20.00.

You mean we don't need a $100 Cloyes double roller timing set? Why not? They certainly are purdy. :wink:

All kidding aside, Doug, just the Elgin, will be fine for most people's needs?
