Well since i decided i was going to get a new timming chain i need some very expert opion adivice before i set out to go and try and get one again the engine that came out of my duster i am rebuilding is not the one for the car and well when i tried to get the set well they where selling them buy chain and all seperate and well they said steel gears and well i need to know also if they come only that way in aftermarket or so on and well we are not sure of my engine code of that motor it has a super six package setup on the motor when we got it and i cant take the rods out now because of the new piston rings but was the super six only offered on the 225 slant six. |

All SL6 timing chain sets are the same, all the aftermarker sets have all metal gears. If you pay more the $30 - 35.00 for the set, you are paying too much. I have purchased these sets for as little as $20.00. See Here for a set on ebay. DD |

You mean we don't need a $100 Cloyes double roller timing set? Why not? They certainly are purdy. All kidding aside, Doug, just the Elgin, will be fine for most people's needs? bwhite |
