Will the BBD work? Also, does anyone have a clue what'll happen if i try to blow through with a vacuum advance electronic distributor. The carb was recently rebuilt and the dist is a reman. Seems like everyone glosses over the distributor equation or mumbles about EFI. I've also heard talk about running the lean burn dist but i'm not sure how it would advance. Would i have to run the lean burn ECU with the funny carb or what? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

The electronic distributor works just fine. I run mine with a MSD boost timing master with no problems. As far as the BBD goes it is not the best choice. It can be made to work with some modifications. I have run one on my turbo setup for about a year now and drove around 2,000 miles over the summer with no driveibility problems. Gets around 22 MPG, but the carb tends to weep gas under higher boost pressure. So I would go with fuel injection if I did it over again and had the money and time. |
