| Post subject: | 63 Dart Wheel Bearings |
I have a 63 Dart GT I am trying to change the front wheel bearings but I can't get the drums off. I have taken out the pin the thrust washer and the nut but the drum will not come off, it will move from side to side and up and down but will not come off. Any info would be greatly appreciated. You need to back off the adjuster from the back of the backing plate. Use a long screwdriver or brake adjustment tool. Look in a repair manual for a pic. You may have to hold a small ratcheting plate away from the adjuster wheel with a smaller screwdriver while turning the adjuster with another screwdriver. Have fun, Lou |
