I'm installing a custom billet cam in my hemi head project. Originally I had a Erson 270 cam and homemade rockers. Well that didn't work so good. Now I'm going to use the factory 5.7 rockers but that requires a custom cam. My question is... do I need a bronze oil pump gear or will the non-hardened steel gear work? I don't want to chew up my cam. |

I think the pump gear is the weak link here. ....and thanks for the prototype head to try on my new shortblock....it looks very cool in the box. |

No problem Sandy, but it did take me awhile to build that wooden box. Now what about the gear? |
