Has anyone thought of doing something like this so leaves etc. don't enter the heater/AC box? I was thinking of using some ordinary window screen but would need of a good way of securing it because I'm afraid of it flying at high speeds. You could probably get a needle and thread through the holes, so perhaps sewing it to itself?

Somehow I just don't trust glue to do the job.

I've wondered about doing something like this but never really knew if it was feasible or even how to go about doing it. If you figure it out, let us know!

It's easy to do this screen trick on '60-'61 A-bodies with removable cowl grilles. Not so easy on '62+ models. It'd be nice if someone made snow caps for our cars as are available for Volvos. These are much like the plastic sunroof deflector one sometimes sees affixed to the roof of a sunroof-equipped car, at the forward edge of the sunroof. The snow cap affixes to the cowl grille, with its air intake slot facing the windshield. Keeps leaves, snow, ice, etc. from dropping in. Seems like it wouldn't be too hard to make, if one had access to injection-moulding equipment and expertise.
