I don't have anything worth showing, but I'll be there to look at all of the cool cars, Mike! Thanks for the heads up!

At least bring your car 'ol buddy. It will, no doubt, stir the conversation pot. RICK

Yeah, Rick, in the same way that me passing gas would. Currently, in addition to my Swinger being an ugly rust-bucket, it now sports damage from TWO different accidents, a side impact AND a front collision, which happened within 3 weeks of each other (when it rains it pours — no accidents in 15 years, then BAM! BAM!). So much for using a 35-year-old-car as a daily driver. Brand new engine, tranny, and suspension, busted up car. I considered just giving up. But I parked it, bit the bullet and took on car payments for the first time in many years. I haven't done more than start the Swinger up once a week since September.

On the upside, my wife and I are buying a house (or trying to) a few miles from my place of employ. Between the lower payments and the drastic reduction in my daily commute (from 50 down to 6 miles, plus toll tag fees that go away), I should have some money to put towards rebuilding the Swinger. And the best part is, the new house has a SEPARATE garage/shop (in addition to the attached 2-car garage) with plenty of room to work on toys, so the future looks bright. 8)

But like I said, I'll be at the Cowtown show, if for no other reason than to touch base with you and Mike. I haven't seen you guys since the Houston show in '06.

Was that more info than anyone wanted or what? :)

Hey Guys
If I get the Cuda done (shooting for 1 April) Cinda and I will probally be down as I will need a shake down cruise before race season. Is there going to be any racing this year? Is this the same one that was at the track last year?
I keep you posted as things progress.

Vynn, it pains me that you've been used as a bumper car by all those pinheads in Dallas. By all means come on over and swap a few tales with us and enjoy the day's festivities.

Frank, check out our other event thread for the race on May 10th.
