Doing up a list of gauges and planning how I'm going to place them in my cluster plate from Sick6, I came across a programmable fuel level gauge from Autometer that you can program to accept sender signals from different auto makers. I interperet this as no more needing to fool around with making an Autometer sender work with our gas tanks. It's a 2 1/16" full sweep (I love full sweep gauges) gauge. I know several others here have wanted to install Autometer fuel gauges in their cars, so I figured I'd post this in an effort to help out. Here's a link to Autometer's page for it (linked the Phantom series gauge since that's the series I'll be using):

If that link doesn't work look up P/N 5710

I was interested, too. The only downside being the extra $$ over the Chrysler version... Last time I checked, isn't it almost double the price?

If I had the extra dough, I think it would be worth it for the extra accuracy of a full sweep.

I dig the full sweep aspect too. Wish all their electronic gauges were full sweep. I'm planning on getting this for my fuel gauge when I do the conversion.

With a full sweep fuel gauge, I could probably watch the needle move when I nail the gas pedal... but at that point I guess I should be watching the road, huh? :)
