I've been looking through the threads for turbo info, so far no luck. Would somebody please send me in the right direction. I have a couple of big block cars, 70 Roadrunner and 67 Coronet but my interest now is leaning toward my 71 Scamp. I really like this car and was going to swap to a big block but have decided to stick with the 6 and see what I can do with it. I want it to be a daily driver but need some more power. So far it looks to me that the biggest gain for the buck is to go turbo. Any suggestions. Thanks, Charlie |

Turbos can make a huge amount of power for a slant six. What's your budget look like? Looking for a carbed turbo setup or EFI? I had a turbo / EFI setup running briefly; it's now down for an upgrade to a bigger turbo. I have set a goal to have it running and dyno tuned by mid-April. There is a turbo article in the "Articles" section, but as the current owner of the manifold / turbo setup from that article, I don't recommend trying to copy it. The TE04H is too small, and the manifold is currently in two pieces because the welding didn't hold up. It's nearly impossible to weld old cast iron and have it last. I've put together a compilation of the turbo postings from a bit earlier - PM me with your if you want a copy. |

Charlie Get the file from Matt its well worth the read. There are several on this board that run turbo slants and a whole bunch that are working on it. Check out the EFI TBI section. Frank |
