Tune-up parts and technique suggestions in this thread. Bypass the car's OSAC valve (located on the passenger side of the firewall on your '73) by running the vacuum hose directly from carburetor to distributor. You can also try disconnecting and plugging the hose that connects to the EGR valve (under the carb on the driver's side of the intake manifold), but listen carefully and make sure you don't get a lot of pinging, and do use a 180° thermostat. Don't forget to adjust the valves. |
