Raybestos #2956R is the finned 9" front drum you want. If you drop the R from the end, you pay less money and get less quality. Always put the best parts you can get on a 9" drum brake system; they were OK for the lightweight '60-'62 A-bodies they were designed for, but not a lot of fun on the later/bigger/heavier cars like your '72.
You'll want to replace all the springs and hardware, too. Get four Chrysler part № 4313 069 shoe-to-shoe springs and two № 4636 771 hardware packages, from the Dodge or Chrysler dealer or from
www.chryslerpartsdirect.com . It is a far better kit than you can get in the aftermarket.
If your self-adjustor parts are showing any wear or age, and they likely are, you will also need either Two Raybestos H2526 and two Raybestos H2527 self-adjust parts packages, or four Chrysler № 2944 586, four 6027 559, two 2944 692, two 2944 693, two 2881 686 and two 2881 687 from your source of genuine Chrysler parts. These are components to assemble two left and two right adjustor ratchets and ancillaries.
