Is there any horsepower loss from a leaking exhaust manifold?

Depends where the leak is. If it's anywhere near the central collector part of the manifold, exhaust can get sucked in with intake air, which will indeed reduce power. Underhood exhaust leaks ought to be fixed in a hurry; our cars aren't usually sealed super-well from engine compartment to passenger compartment and so it becomes a safety issue.
