Now the top plate never closes like it did before the rebuild. Did I do something wrong or can you adjust it? |

you mean the choke plate? you got a manual? electric? what carb are we speakin of. did you ever get gas to it? |

Yeah choke plate. Its a 1945 carb. The car runs really good now, but the plate never closes. Manual or electric? Its whatever was stock in 1975.[/quote] |

i havnt played wit one of those yet. it prolly has the heated coil on the exhaust manifold right? make sure thats hooked up and in working order. did you need to adjust anything on the rebuild, or did u just replace gaskets? proper adjusting is the most importand part of rebuild. most the time a carb doesnt need to be rebuilt, just adjusted. |
