I've been doing a little reading about soda blasting and I'm wondering if anyone is familiar with this process. Does it work as well as advertised? I have a small (25 lb) sand blaster; what modifications must be done to use it with soda? I'm mainly interested in using it in tight places that are difficult to reach with sandpaper, and on the underside of the car. |

I think it would work.... My concern is moisture. May have problems with high humidity. |

I just had Project V soda blasted inside and out. Whole car was down to bare metal except the undercarrieage. Worked like a charm. I wish my body shop had put primer on sooner, as a little surface rust formed in a few places, but it is difficult to impress how important you think these things are. Cost me $650 to do exterior, interior, engine bay, rollcage, and inside the trunk. A steal if you ask me. Car was not rusty, but had 2 coats of paint. Lou |

I thought "soda blasting" was what happens when somebody tells me a funny joke when I'm in the middle of drinking a Coke. |

Where did you find the best prices on the soda? (Where did you find it at all?)

There isn't any undercoating and not much rust except the floorpan that I will be replacing anyway. It's mostly just dirt and oil scum. I'll probably try a power washer first though. I just want the undercarriage clean enough that it can be primered and coated with urethane bed liner material. |
