Pulled the cover off my recently purchased (& untested) 7 1/4 s.g. . There was a date of Oct 64 on the s,g, case. The 2.93 ring gear looked OK except for small shallow pits in some teeth. It's possible in the far distant past that the ring gear sat idle above the fluid for long enough time for moisture to work it's magic?

My 65 Dart Parts manual lists 2467132 for the 2.93 replacement ring gear/pinion set and 2467325 for the 2.93 ring gear/pinion set for the s.g.
It looks like there is a difference for some reason?

Is there a difference?

Are there any 7 1/4 ring gear suppliers in New England?
