I recently had my manifolds milled and used a new Aussie gasket to fix an exhaust leak. Today I took out my engine to fix some oil leaks, one of which was a small seep at the the head/block surface. Since I will have the head off I am going to have it checked for flatness, and I will have to remove the manifolds (or will I?). Can I reuse the aussie gasket, or should I get a new one. I didn't use any goop when I put it on. |

It depends.......mine was on for about 4 months and it stuck to the head really well and delaminated in the center at the two intake ports. You wouldn't think it would get that hot in the middle. You may get lucky! |

RDJ As cheap as they are use a new one. Unless the old one was only on for a VERY short time it will be hard and not seal well. Frank |
