I went to a Mopar swap meet this weekend at the Indiana State fairgrounds. Indy cylinder head was there as well A&A and we were knee deep in Hemi stuff! :D One guy did have an original hyper pak ( first one I had ever come across) as well as what appeared to be cast iron headers. Both looked like factory pieces. $2400 for both! The guy is out of Florida and I have his card if anyone is interested. This is way out of my league!

He has carted those to just about every car show/swap meet there is for more years than any of us can count! I got excited the first time I saw them too. It's way out of most people's league.

Thanks for posting though! You never know who might be interested and have the means to buy them.

If you look closely at them all the pieces have been broken and repaired at one time or another. They are not worth anywhere near what the guy wants. I think he just get a woody dragging them around and showing them off. I've seen them for at least 10 years now, and some of the FL guys have known them for longer than that.

The first time I saw them was at the spring Daytona show in '99 or '00. So he's had them for 8 or 9 years and still lugging them to shows. He wanted $1200 for them back then, I see they have now doubled, doesn't take a lot to see why they're not sold.

Pic 3 still cracks me up Dan!

I haven't seen the Hyperpak on Clifford's web site for a while.

Doc? You were saying that Larry found a new foundry that could handle these castings.

Can you let us know if there is an update on availability? We could all scrounge for loose change and put you on a bus to see if they did a good job! :D If your report is especially good we wouldn't necessarily force you to hitch back.

No, seriously though, would it be possible to get someone in the know to inspect the parts?

Anyone wanting a repo Hyper-Pak intake manifold needs to call Larry at Clifford and put their name on his "waiting list".

Clifford still has the casting equipment / patterns and Larry told me he would do another run of Hyper-Pak manifolds if there was enough interest.
My guess is that there would need to be 6 or more interested buyers (@ $400.00 per manifold) before he would do another run.

Hey Doug,

Have they fixed the issues with the way they manufactured the first run of them after you sold them the molds?

It's kind of a "Catch 22" situation. I'd love to have one, but wouldn't want to work with Clifford without at least SOME kind of assurance of quality... Not to mention the poor timeliness and customer service aspects they've become known for. The $400 seems a bit pricey, but it is a special kinda thing,... and given the alternatives out there..

I'm lurking from the sidelines on this one. I guess it wouldn't hurt to just call them and say, "Yo Dude, I'm interested!"

Is Larry looking for a deposit first?

Dan , why don't you braid that thing and add some beads! You know - do the Johnny Depp pirate thing-chicks would dig it!!! :D Silliness aside-the aussie guys (Pentastar Parts) should be coming out with their long runner slant 4bbl manifold soon! (I don't own stock in the company-I'm just excited) I know this manifold is unproven but it looks promising! This one is just a little more $ than the H-PAK and shipping would be 90 to 100 bucks. It also is supposed to have heat for the street guys!
