Is there a place abody cars are known for leaking? Mines a 75 duster. The reason I ask is because I have a leak in my car, but cant find it anywhere. Everytime I wash my car water is on the floor and there is a steady drip. So today I got a cup of water and poured it in certain places. I poured it on the bottom of the windhield and in the wiper pivots, but no leaks. Any ideas?

The difference between 'spraying' with a hose/nozzle and pouring a cup of water is pretty wide... if spraying with a nozzle it's not too hard to 'force' water into the fresh air openings and have water leak onto the floor (even with the little doors closed...)

You can also see if any of the firewall plugs/seals are loose/compromised and make sure to seal them too...

Probably the most common leak in the area you describe is the windshield pivot seals. Get a windshield pivot seal kit here (the categories on the left side of the page are in really small print and are hard to read. Search the page for the word "wiper" and you'll find it, then click it to see the kits.)

You'll also want to read this post for information on how to clean out the leaves, pine needles, and other trash that collect in the cowl and block the cowl drains, causing water to flood into the passenger compartment instead.

Another potential leak point is the windshield gasket.
