Hi,
What would be the preferred way to raise compression on the 225 I am planning to build? I am looking to build a 10:1 engine or higher depending what pump gas will support.
Custom pistons that will bring the piston top closer to the deck height? Milling the head? decking the block? Long rod 225 with 2.2 pistons? or a combination of the above? It will be mostly a street motor with some 1/4 mile action. Will be using 1.70/1.44 valves not sure on the cam yet,Clifford intake, 4 barrel carb, hooker headers. Will be going in a '70 Duster with auto trans. thanks, nico

If you can find a set of 198 con rods, 10 to 1 compression is easy, with-out a bunch of head and block milling.

My #2 choice is custom made set of pistons.
