Does anyone make gaskets for headers on a slant 6? Do I even need gaskets? |

Here's the way I look at it. With all the complaining we do about our industry going offshore, when we have the chance to patronize a domestic company with a quality product then, for me at least, the decision's easy. I love the Aussies and I'm glad they have good products but when all is otherwise equal, I'm going to pick the domestic every time. Good product, fair price, excellent customer service... sold! |

Oh, I don't dispute that the Remflex gaskets are a topnotch product, I'm just curious how Remflex "beats all the competition", because I don't think that statement can be supported. |

I ran the Aussie gasket and had a small coolant seep at the last manifold bolt that eroded the gasket and had an exhaust leak. This of course was not the gaskets fault. The Aussie gasket has a little bigger port cut into them. I am now running the Remflex gasket. I fixed the coolant seep so wouldn't be able to compare the two in that way. The ports are cut closer to the real port size. After using both I really can't say which is better. I'd like to think the Remflex is, but thats because its what I am using now. |
