Post subject:  larger wheels..... any adjustments needed?

First I'm glad I became a member because the topic discussions has been very helpful when troubleshooting.
I've replaced the original 3 speed manual with a A833 OD from a 76' Aspen into my 63' Dart, I've also put on stock 14" wheels from a 60's Barracuda . I have the 225 /6, 5 leaf springs and a 8 1/4 rear end.
Do I need to make any adjustments to the front end or gear adjustment in rear end with these changes or am I good to go?
I just drove to Phoenix last weekend and have to say the extra gear really makes a difference, rpms are down and engine runs cooler and I don't have to yell over the engine to my passenger when on the highway.
By the way I tell anyone I see who has a slant about your website, I hope you've had new sign ups.
Thanks again for this service,
Brian

Check you speedometer accuracy using milemarkers and a stopwatch, or just a GPS. If it's off by much you might want to change the SPEEDOMETER GEAR, depending on tire size and what is already in there.

Other than that, if it runs well for you, it's time for another project!

What size are the 14" tires?

Thanks much for reading. I've decided to go with 195/70 or 65/14 on the 14 inch rims. I'm not a racer so the handling is fine with me but I do like the extra inch. I have a speedo tech to take the Dart too and be put on the dyno to sync everything up. As for another project, I've still got a little work on this one like a new windshield, springs, shocks, etc. I'm busy.
FYI I found a source in CA: Turner's Auto Wrecking
4248 S Willow
Fresno CA 93725
www.turnersautowrecking.com

Their site is very user friendly and they are good about shipping. It's a Dart graveyard.
