I am rebuilding a slant 6 engine in my 1962/3 D100 Dodge pickup. The engine appears to be the original engine and is painted yellow (appears to be the orginal color). The casting number is 2202857-8 and there is a stamped number on the engine that reads TS226012. Can anyone tell me when the engine was produced? The truck ID tag indicates the truck itself was made in 1962, but it was titled and registered as a 63 by the original owner. Any info on decoding the engine number would be helpful.
