does the 225 use a crank bolt for the front pulley? I had to replace the balancer and there was no bolt in the crank. just wondering if these motors take a bolt or not?

Thanks Again
Mike

Most don't have a damper from the factory, but the small block bolt fits just fine.

The balancer was press fit at the factory, and most engines didn't get one, but the crank nose is threaded for a bolt... it's 3/4 NF about 1 1/4" long stock ones are grade 8... you can pick one out of a junkyard they are the same as the small block/big block damper bolts (find a 318 and bring an 1 1/4" wrench or breaker bar along...)
