I can hook up and tune fuel injected cars all day long, but I have pretty much zero experience with carbs.

I stuck a new holley replacement carb on my slant, but it's been a while since I took the old one off and I forgot where all the vacuum lines go.

I have a picture where the ports are marked and numbered, the only thing I am looking for now is a vacuum source for my distributor, and I'm going to cap off everything else that I don't need.

Thanks in advance.

Get a vacume gauge and hook it up to the ports and find the one that has little to no vacume but gradually gains vacume as the throtlle is actuated. The #2 should be the one you need on that carb.

i would think that it is number one. it is higher than the throttle plate so it should be timmed vacuum, if you dont have a vac gauge just put your finger over it and see if theres vacuum at idle, there shouldnt be for your dist vac, you dont want it to advance at idle...

No need to guess, go and look it up. Here is the Holley 1945 operation and rebuild manual (pdf).
