Hi all,

see this

Will this kit work with the "drill out" method of degreeing a cam?

I can see a problem with this method. Unless the distance between the center of the axis of the timing gear and the pin is the same between a chevy cam and a mopar cam are the same, there is going to be a small difference in the advertised degree offset, and the actual degree offset. I don't think it will be hugely different, but it will require a check when you install the cam.

Thanks,

Greg

Even if you get the Mopar set you still have to check them. You will not always get the degrees listed. Plus you really need to check it to make sure you put the offset in the proper direction. DAMHIK.

Always check the degrees, after adjusting. I just did a Mopar performance cam in a 360. It was 5 degrees retarded. Installed a 4 degree key, and wound up moving the cam 10 degrees. Mr Gasket said you have to double the numbers,

Wound up using the MP key kit, and still didn't wind up using the key, I should have.
