does the 225 use a crank bolt for the front pulley? I had to replace the balancer and there was no bolt in the crank. just wondering if these motors take a bolt or not? Thanks Again Mike |

Most don't have a damper from the factory, but the small block bolt fits just fine. |

The balancer was press fit at the factory, and most engines didn't get one, but the crank nose is threaded for a bolt... it's 3/4 NF about 1 1/4" long stock ones are grade 8... you can pick one out of a junkyard they are the same as the small block/big block damper bolts (find a 318 and bring an 1 1/4" wrench or breaker bar along...)-D.Idiot |
